In the heart of Kenya, exists an incredible wild space called Suyian - with open savannas, forested valleys, striking rock formations and a great meandering river and the full range of Africa’s iconic wildlife.  It is part of a critical landscape that if not protected now, risks being lost forever to the pressures of unsustainable agriculture, cattle farming, extraction of energy and protein in the form of wood and endangered species. But we are not losing hope. In the next six months, we have the opportunity to acquire this private conservancy for $12.5 million and ensure it stays as a natural asset in perpetuity. We have the plan and the local partners to manage this 40,000 acre habitat as a model of good conservation - where people and animals coexist and generate value from an intact ecosystem.
